Financial Education
Supporting Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs
BFB Foundation believes girls armed with knowledge about their rights and responsibilities and a set of financial tools empowers them to break the cycle of poverty by becoming financially independent entrepreneurs.
We support teacher training and implementation of curriculum focused on literacy, social skills and financial education through Aflatoun International. The programs are currently impacting approximately 800 students in the Socorro Schools.
The 5th grade students held a bazaar with some of the money they saved in the Aflatoun program. When the students finally reached their goal of having the bazaar after planning it, seeing them smiling at the end of the day when the food sale was over, was the best kind of satisfaction as a teacher.
